Is there an iPhone app?
Not yet. The web app at shift.sambal.digital works in Safari and does everything the Android app does. Add it to your home screen for one-tap access.
Why is the Android app an APK and not in the Play Store?
Shift is distributed directly for now. Android asks once whether your browser may install apps; after that it installs like any other app. To update, download the latest APK and install it over the old one. Your cars and history stay in your account.
Where do the service intervals come from?
From the marketplace, where drivers share intervals for their make and model, usually taken from the owner's manual. You can always adjust the intervals of your own car, or leave a part empty if your car doesn't have it.
What happens to my data when I sell my car?
You decide. Create a transfer code and the buyer gets the car with its full service history, or simply delete the car from your garage.
Why do I sign in with Google?
So you don't need yet another password, and so your garage is the same on your phone and in your browser. Shift uses your name and email address to recognise your account, and never shares them. See the privacy policy.
